Voyage With Maya teacher through the Maya Civilization๐ข
Today in our class,at first hour with our Maya teacher, we got a time travel to the past..... Through the days of civilizations... Through the Indus Valley...Maya civilization....Through the Dravidian Culture.
We started from Harappa, Mohanjodaro,their life styles...to the Siberian connections and then had a glance of Konark temple, Humpi, Yellora caves etc... Their cultures...Dravidian relationships... were discussed.

We ended the journey with these introductions and the technological developments happened in that time.
Next hour was Ancy teacher's. She continued our topic on Individual differences.
"Individual difference is the variations or deviations among the individuals with regard to a single characteristic or a number of characteristics." - Cater V Good
We also discussed about types of individual differences : inter individual difference and intra individual difference.
Factors causing individual differences....educational implications...
Then about exceptional children....like gifted children, backward children...slow learners, under achievers....etc... The characteristics... Areas of giftedness of gifted children...hiw to identify them...education for gifted students.
Next was Joju sir's class. We continued our class on the topic Assessments. Difference between Measurements and Evaluations.
Joju sir said a story about the child called Kiran. The problem affected him in his behavioural change and how an efficient teacher found and solved that problem. It was a nice story.
Teacher's Preferential judgement : extra credit and positive reinforcement to those students who need some preference. (Economically backward, slow learners, weak students, ...)
Also take care to not show any different attitudes according to : Cast, creed, talents, financial ability and parental influence towards the students. It should be avoided.
Next we discussed with the Concept of Educational Evaluation. Three main things about evaluation : 1) aim/objectives 2)learning experience and 3) learner appraisal. These are called triangle relationship or evaluation cycle. There is a two way relationship between each terms.
Next we discussed about the Purposes of educational evaluation or the Functions of evaluation. They are mainly for diagnostic, prognostic, predictive and remedial.
The class ended at with the beautiful message of sir about the importance of Soul along with our mind and body...
