Online mode day 1 and day 2

 28/01/2022, Friday.

Today I had my first online class a s a teacher. I was well prepared but my health was not that good -- I am covid positive now😬.

But after all, I decieded to take the class because it was my duty and responsibility towards the students, teachers, course and towards myself. 

The class started at 8 pm... In online mode there was an extra class join along with the 9D students whom I teaching offline mode. So now its 9D and 9M. 

I started the class at 8 pm, continued the chapter Similar Triangles, last portion. Some of the students were so attendive and gave answer to my questions. But when I called names of some others they were not even answering. Online classes.....🤦🏻‍♀️

I used drawing pad for the blackboard work. And showed ppt instead of charts and activity cards. I took the class till 9 pm. 




29/01/2022, Saturday.

Today I had class from 6 pm to 7 pm. Today I started the class with a game. "Pick a number". The students need to select a number and find  the person who hide behind the number by look at their childhood photos. They all played well. They told me it was a good game. After that we started studying the new chapter Polynomials. The first portion of the chapter was Algebra of measures. We discussed about the algebraic equations of perimeter and area of the rectangle. And done a few problems related to it. 
All went well today. 
After my class observation, Dr. Joju John sir gave me valuable advice..things to be improved. I will definitely try to avoid the mistakes in coming classes. Thanks for the appreciation too sir. 🙏

Being Gifted actually a Gift?

 A new task given by Deepthi teacher : Watch an education related movie and write about the educational insight reflecting in it. Watching movies is always refreashing and enjoyable. Since it is a task now, I need to not only just watch it but also observe it in a different way, by means of the intentions. I chose the movie Gifted . Today was really an interesting day.  The first class was Maya teacher's. She started the class by reciting a few lines:  “ Anantham, ajnatam, avarnaneeyam, Ee loka golam tiriyunna maargam; Atinkalengandoridatthirunnu Nokkunna martyan kathayentu kandu?” (“Infinite, unknown and ineffable The way this cosmos moves round; What’s found the man, sitting Somewhere there, looking on?”) –  Naalappaattu Naaraayana Menon. And started the class on the topic Realism. We travelled through the Aims of education, Harmony and curriculum related with Realism. According to realism, God is a concept not a reality.
