Intense teaching practice phase 2 : day 8

 

Today I reached the school at 8 50. 

After the prayer and pledge I rushed ro my classroom. 

Today I started a new topic called algebraic method. Before officially starting the class, in order to make them ready Iasked them a mathematical puzzle and they answered it correctly. 

To check their previous knowledge I hung an activity chart and make them to fill it one by one.

Next I gave them activity card and told them to do it as the group activity. And I gave tally marks to the winners. I explained it to others.

Then I told them to write a question and I showed them the model in order to make it more clearly. They understood the concept and did the answer correctly. 

I then asked them what we have studied in the class and two of the students answered. 

Today two girls had their birthdays: Sreelekshmi and Anamika. We together wished them. I got a lot of sweets.

After giving follow up activity and assignment, I gave prize to the winner group of the week. It was team BLACK × 9. They were so happy. I also gave prize to the star of the week. There were two stars : Parvathy and Gauri. 

Later after the class I worked on my lesson plans.

At 12 30 we went for lunch duty. There were salad, mixed vegetable curry included in today's menu. 

After the lunch the 3 girls from my concerned class 8 C approached me for doubt clarification. I appreciated them for their approach. I clarified their doubts. 

After that I again went on the preparation of lesson plan.

Later at 3 pm, I got substitution on 8 C. Since it was the last period, students requested me to not take the class. Also it was their ECA period. So to they performed so many songs. Which were really nice. Students are so talented. They didn't hesitate to come forward and show what they have to others. It made me think of my old days. Then I was so shy. And I didn't see any of my classmates with this kind of courage to face a bigg group of students.

At 3 30, National anthem started. After that I returned to home.
